Private Home - Kingston Gorse

Tucked away in the prestigious Kingston Gorse estate near Littlehampton, this family home had an enviable location, right by the sea however the original design failed to take advantage of it. With no sea views and limited living space, the existing house didn’t reflect the potential of its surroundings.

Our client came to us with a clear vision: to create a beautiful, modern home that not only provided more living space and bedrooms, but fully embraced the incredible coastal setting.

Our proposal was to completely remodel the property, starting with removing the existing traditional pitched roofs and reimagining the home with a bold, contemporary extension to the rear. This new design introduces a striking architectural form, softened by natural materials and generous glazing, perfectly suited to its coastal context.

The heart of this transformation is about bringing the outdoors in. Large sliding doors and expansive windows open up the home to sweeping sea views, flooding the interior with natural light and creating a seamless connection between indoor spaces and the surrounding landscape.

Inside, we reconfigured the layout to offer more bedrooms and multiple living areas, giving the family flexibility, comfort and room to grow. Whether it’s relaxing with the view, entertaining guests, or enjoying quiet family moments, every part of the new design was tailored to enhance day-to-day living.
